The new educational platform FILM NEST is now available!
The Wajda Film Centre has launched the educational platform Film Nest, where you can find selected documentary films from past editions of the LET’S DOC Documentary Film Festival for Young Audiences, along with teaching materials to help conduct lessons based on these films. Many of them include accessibility features such as audio descriptions or translations into Polish Sign Language (PJM).
Film Nest is an online platform redefining film education in Poland. It offers a rich array of educational tools that support young people’s development by combining education about film and audiovisual media with education through film. It fosters critical thinking, empathy, and openness—key values for a modern civil society.
Why Film Nest?
Contemporary film education faces challenges, including difficulties in finding reliable, scattered resources online. Film Nest addresses these needs by providing curated, tested materials tailored to the school curriculum.
Until now, Poland lacked a resource that combined films with ready-made educational materials. Teachers often had to choose between searching for content on their own—risking the use of illegal sources—or spending additional time creating lesson plans from scratch. Film Nest solves these problems, offering a comprehensive library of films and educational resources in one place.
Who do we support?
Film Nest is an educational platform for teachers, educators, animators, and parents seeking valuable and engaging content for their students and children. The resources help build skills essential for forming social relationships while strengthening critical thinking and openness. It’s a space that supports the upbringing of conscious, empathetic, and engaged individuals.
All materials on the platform are available for free and without the need for registration.
