Władysław Starewicz brought insects to life in his pioneering films, turning them into exceptional actors in both dramatic and comedic roles. Participants will learn how to imbue their insect characters with personality, creating a gentlemanly beetle, a dancing chafer, or a comedic ladybug.

Famous paintings in the hands of young animators—bringing art to life! How can we make the Mona Lisa smile with all her teeth? Participants will work with reproductions of famous paintings, transforming them into dynamic and fun animations.

The rocket has launched! This Saturday, we’ll board a spaceship to explore the mysteries of the universe. We’ll transform into astronauts, visit planets, stars, and galaxies, and create our own cosmic adventure on screen!

Inspired by the tales of dengbêjs, we will create our own richly illustrated fairy tale together. Join us for a hands-on storytelling experience. Workshop participants will receive a gift copy of “Tales of Dengbêjs: Kurdish Fairy Tales and Stories” (published by Namas) from the Calîl family collection.

A carnival-themed “film warm-up” means one thing: making your own music video! We’ll choose a song together, then shoot and edit a unique clip with dancing, quick cuts, and lip-syncing!

Lotte Reiniger, a pioneer in silhouette animation, was renowned for her exquisite films inspired by fairy tales and mythology. The motif of the heart symbolized love, courage, and transformation. Inspired by her work, participants will create their own animations.

Bouncing balls, animals, and monsters following one of Disney’s twelve principles – squash and stretch! During the workshop, children will create their own bouncing balls that will come to life through their creativity.

Inspired by the film of the creators of the cinematograph, we will create our own dancers and their flowing dresses, we will use coffee filters to do this, which we will paint with markers and watercolours. If we feel like it, we will dance a serpentine dance together at the end.

Magic tricks from a hundred and twenty years ago! Mr. Georges Melies’s tricks and techniques will once again inspire our workshop participants. You will learn how he used simple means to create effects that still impress with their ingenuity, and over a century ago, amazed and amazed viewers.
